The Beehouse Recording Studio Experience: Five hours in a recording studio to sing, play write music or learn about music production, in the idyllic surroundings of the Powys Shropshire border....... This is the recording studio experience of a lifetime. Unlike many other recording studio experiences available, the Beehouse has a wide variety of musical possibilities on the agenda, offering sessions where you can simply sing to backings, play instruments, take charge of recording studio production, or even develop your own music from scratch. If five hours is too long, we have a mini-experience available at three hours.

What would you expect from a Recording Studio Experience? Coolstars Recording Studio Experiences have been run at the Beehouse Recording Studio for the past four years with a unrivalled level of success. In our experience, no two recording studio experience sessions are ever the same. Choice is an unavoidable element of the music experience.

To help us to cater for the variety of expectations people bring with them, we prefer to communicate to quite a high level with customers prior to their arrival at the studio. We encourage recording artists to discuss their days with us extensively before work begins.

The recording studio experience is a full five hour day in the recording studio, and as such is frequently taken up by professionals and amateur alike. For us, the recording process involves knowing and understanding the driving forces of our guests, and dealing with personalities rather than schedules.

The full five-hour experience day still only costs £199.75, a figure which includes a great many hidden extras, such as the provision of a great choice of backing tracks, vocal and microphone coaching, the cutting of your final product to CD. For those wishing to spend more time focusing on their singing or music, we also offer a Pro Recording Experience package at £350, which is actually 10 hrs of recording, vocal coaching, production, and again the final CD cutting. With this package we offer 5 copies of the CD to take away with you.* Both these packages represent extremely good value for money, and result in a highly commercial product.

*CDs are routinely completed on the day of recording. There may occasionally be delays in the production of the final CD due to additional requirements on the part of the customer or for technical reasons or other reasons beyond our control. In these cases we would ask the patience of our customers whilst the final product is produced.

Flexible recording studio experiences

If you would like to sing to backing tracks we can suggest a variety of packages. You could produce one or two tracks to a very high commercial level, to include original instrumentation and the artist's own interpretation, you could lay down a larger number to a backing track - some working singers like to use these as demos to show off their vocal range and ability.

Recording your own music

A growing percentage of recording studio experience customers coming to us want to record their own tracks, and we are happy to accommodate this, and to provide arrangement facilities as well as professional level production for the finished track. We look on this as an opportunity to be involved in original creative work, and encourage new tracks to be recorded wherever possible. In such cases, the cost of the day can include arrangement and initial laying down of the harmonies. Although a day will really only be sufficient to develop one track to any level, we know that songwriters who have not previously recorded enjoy the experience immensely, and many return to finish other tracks and even albums.

Customer Care

Because we are keen to offer a high level of customer care to our visitors and to make sure that all recording artists are provided with not only a fantastic firsthand experience of a professional recording studio, but a totally commercial end product resulting from their various recording studio experiences. Customers are happy to visit us from most parts of the UK, and even from overseas in a number of cases. We are not currently aware of any rival to the Beehouse for the sheer quality of customer interaction and finished product. We do not usually offer shorter recording studio experiences because, as a commercial studio, we are concerned that all of our products should reflect the same quality as our professional work. Recording studio experiences are also a lot of fun - most visitors arrive determined to enjoy themselves, often bringing friends or relatives (max. 3) - and some friends or relatives join in! The Beehouse is in a stunning location in an isolated valley on the Wales Shropshire border, very convenient for Birmingham, the Midlands, Cheshire, Derbyshire and the like, although we have been visited from South Africa, the Emirates, Italy, Thailand and so forth also!
